Hardware at TRACTIAN
The Hardware team is responsible for designing and improving our IoT devices, dealing with every step of the development process, ranging from PCB design, firmware programming, case design, validations and certifications, always aiming to build trustworthy products that can be produced at a mass scale.
What you’ll do
As a Hardware Technician, you will be responsible for performing hands-on activities such as assembling, reworking, and testing electronic boards, working on SMD lines, prototyping, and performing lab tasks. You will work closely with hardware engineers, following technical guidance to ensure the quality and reliability of prototypes and products. This role is key in supporting the development cycle, delivering consistent results in assembly and testing.
Responsibilities

    • Assemble and test electronic boards on the SMD line and prototyping.
    • Perform rework of SMD and through-hole components.
    • Support engineers in diagnostics and supervised functional tests.
    • Prepare materials, tools, and lab infrastructure for testing execution.
    • Follow technical procedures for assembly, inspection, and prototype validation.
    • Document failures, reworks, and test results.
    • Ensure organization, safety, and ESD best practices in the lab.
Requirements

    • Completed technical degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related areas.
    • Hands-on experience in PCB assembly and testing.
    • Basic knowledge of electronics and schematic interpretation.
    • Skills in manual soldering and rework of SMD and PTH components.
    • Familiarity with measurement instruments (multimeter, etc.).
    • Organization, attention to detail, and ability to follow technical instructions.
Bonus Points

    • Experience in SMD production lines and their equipment.
    • Background in R&D environments with rapid prototyping.
    • Knowledge of test support software.
    • Basic English for technical reading.
