All we’ve ever wanted is to help people connect. It feels great—and because good things can happen.

That’s why we developed intelligent AI technology to help alumni and students network for advice, support, and introductions. It works in their way, with no friction (and yes, we know that what universities often do today isn’t ideal). It’s simple, direct, and humane.

But we need to do even more. We’re now looking to hire a Customer Success Manager to partner with and support customers who are increasingly based around the world.

The ideal candidate is a diverse woman located in or near Europe, with excellent interpersonal skills and fluent English, marketing experience, and strong technical knowledge. If that sounds like you, please keep reading.

Before you learn more about the role, please read the details at the end. It matters to us that we find the right person and don’t waste your time. In return, we expect the same level of transparency and honesty from you. We value integrity and critical thinking—because life is short.

What does the role involve?
  • Build strong relationships with our customers (they are the most important part of Protopia)
  • Onboard new customers using Asana to ensure they get real value from our solution—while making great connections along the way
  • Support customers (and our team) with analysis and reporting using our internal tools, WordPress, Trello, and Google Sheets/Excel
  • Become a product expert to support product development, maintain internal and external documentation, and train new and existing team members
  • Collaborate with other AI Trainers to process and classify transactions efficiently
  • Develop and share best practices with the team to continuously improve the quality, impact, and efficiency of our products and processes
You’ll be a great fit if you have…
  • Independence and the ability to be a self-starter, working effectively with minimal direction
  • A strong interest in a remote role where you can live wherever you want and work in a way that suits you
  • Strong attention to detail, quick responsiveness, excellent communication skills, and strong organization
  • A desire to join an early-stage startup and a genuine eagerness to be challenged
  • Strong analytical and data-management skills (working with Excel files that include hundreds of thousands of rows is no problem)
  • A passion for education as a force for good, ideally with experience working at or with a university—especially in alumni relations, development, academic affairs, or career services
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Confidence, high energy, self-motivation, and a real team-first mindset
  • Excellent multitasking and project management skills
  • Comfort interacting with senior and executive-level customer stakeholders
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment
  • Not an engineer, but comfortable with technology and able to learn new tools quickly
  • Fluent English (C1 preferred, ideally multilingual)
  • Interest in marketing and social media (or relevant experience), since you’ll create campaigns and marketing materials
  • Access to reliable, high-speed internet and a computer
  • A love for dogs (or cats) and excitement to share photos of your pets

More than anything, you want to join a mission-driven startup from the start, collaborate closely, and help deliver on its purpose.

The Fine Print

We’re a remote team that focuses on results. We care about outcomes, not bureaucracy. Your well-being always comes first. We work in Slack, Zoom, Google Apps, Trello, and more—and sometimes alongside our cats and dogs.

  • Role: Full-time
  • Compensation: Contract role, with the expectation of becoming a long-term team member (ideally 3+ years)
  • Benefits: Unlimited PTO
  • Location: Remote (preference for candidates based in Europe, working on European schedules)

Even though we’re looking for very smart, impact-focused people, we prioritize diverse candidates.
