Position Overview
As Care Access’ Global Privacy Associate, you will report to the Global Privacy Program Manager and support both daily operations and long‑term strategy for the company’s global data protection program. You will help implement privacy compliance processes and provide operational assistance on data protection and regulatory matters. You will also work with teams across the company to manage incoming requests, including support for RFPs and RFIs, audits, privacy impact assessments, data transfer evaluations, and customer and vendor contracts.

What You’ll Be Working On
• Work with the Global Privacy Program Manager.
• Help implement and document global privacy requirements and compliance processes, including operational and technical privacy controls, privacy by design, and other core privacy principles for a global clinical research company.
• Assist with research and documentation related to HIPAA, GDPR, LGPD, and clinical research regulations.
• Monitor and advise on developments in AI regulation.
• Provide operational support for data protection compliance.
• Help design and implement processes for privacy impact assessments, data mapping, reporting, and other due diligence and compliance activities.
• Support responses to audits, RFPs, RFIs, and customer due diligence requests.
• Assist with onboarding, implementing, and managing privacy program tools, including data‑mapping software.
• Maintain privacy KPIs, analyze trends, and recommend process improvements.
• Work with Information Security, IT, Clinical, Regulatory, and other departments to maintain and enforce privacy controls and approvals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of privacy operations and processes.
• Ensure inquiries are handled promptly and meet business needs.
• Actively support the Care Access Legal team and its priorities.

Physical and Travel Requirements
• This is a remote role with less than 10% travel. Occasional planned travel may be required.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience supporting or advising on a global privacy compliance program.
• At least 2 years of privacy experience in healthcare or life sciences, with strong preference for clinical research or pharmaceutical experience.
• Hands‑on experience interpreting and applying international privacy laws.
• Strong understanding of global data protection and AI laws and regulatory developments, including US, Canadian, and European standards.
• Knowledge of privacy and security regulations for health data and clinical research, including HIPAA.
• Familiarity with data security and risk management.
• Ability to clearly explain privacy concepts to non‑experts.
• Practical skill in translating privacy rules into actionable controls.
• A positive, service‑oriented attitude and commitment to high‑quality work.
• Ability to stay current with legal and regulatory changes.

Certifications
• CIPP certification(s) strongly preferred.
