Overview
Welo Data is launching a new project and looking for detail‑oriented professionals with strong listening and transcription skills to join our team as Transcribers. In this remote role, you will accurately transcribe audio recordings while adding helpful context through tagging and timestamps. If you’re passionate about language, cultural nuance, and precision, we’d be excited to hear from you.

What you will do:
– Listen to audio recordings in the target language and produce highly accurate transcriptions.
– Insert timestamps to keep the text aligned with the audio.
– Tag recordings with emotions, context, and other metadata to improve project outputs.
– Ensure transcriptions are culturally appropriate and capture the intended tone and meaning.
– Work with the project team to maintain consistency and quality across all files.
– Follow project deadlines, guidelines, and formatting standards.

Project Details
Commitment: Flexible, with a minimum of 10–15 hours per week (up to 20 depending on availability).
Job Type: Freelance/Independent Contractor

Pay Rate: $35/hour

Requirements:
– Native or professional (C1/C2) proficiency in the target language and strong English skills.
– Experience in transcription, translation, or linguistic work is a strong plus.
– Ability to recognize regional dialects, emotional cues, and contextual details in audio.
– Excellent attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to deliver error‑free work.
– Familiarity with transcription tools and comfort working with timestamps and tagging.
– Consistent availability and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high quality.
