We’re looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our HR Operations team. In this position, you’ll handle front-line HR support, manage employee questions, and ensure accurate data, compliance, and documentation. You’ll collaborate with HRBPs and Centers of Excellence to implement scalable solutions, support employee lifecycle processes, and help improve our workflows. If you’re detail-oriented, tech-forward, and eager to make an impact in a fast-growing environment, we want to hear from you. This role is perfect for someone with solid HR Generalist experience who wants to continue developing their skills at a mission-driven, high-growth company.
About Talkiatry:
Talkiatry is redefining psychiatry by offering accessible, compassionate, and responsible care. We are a national mental health practice founded by a patient and a triple-board-certified psychiatrist to address the challenges both patients and clinicians face in accessing and delivering high-quality mental health treatment. Each year, 60% of U.S. adults with a diagnosable mental illness go untreated due to limited access to care, while 45% of clinicians remain out of network due to low reimbursement rates and excessive administrative work. Using innovative technology and a human-centered approach, we help patients get the care they need and enable psychiatrists to focus on practicing medicine.
You Will:
• Manage Tier 1 HR support tickets, address employee questions about payroll, benefits, and programs, and escalate more complex issues when appropriate.
• Keep internal employee resources and documentation up to date, including knowledgebase and FAQ materials.
• Partner with HRBPs on employee lifecycle updates and offboarding, including severance processing and performance documentation.
• Serve as a link between Centers of Excellence and business-facing HR to ensure consistent and scalable solutions.
• Support compliance tasks such as training management, documentation, audits, and ad hoc projects to maintain accurate records and regulatory alignment.
• Assist in creating and distributing HR reports.
• Support Open Enrollment and other benefits-related initiatives.
• Look for opportunities to automate workflows and streamline manual processes across HR Operations.
• Help maintain HR systems data and support system integrations.
You Have:
• At least 2 years of experience in HR Operations, including managing employee data updates, handling employee inquiries, and working across HR Ops, HRBPs, and IT.
• A bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Exposure to HR compliance and/or HRBP programs and a desire to grow in these areas.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and enjoy building systems that scale.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and a service-oriented approach to supporting employees.
• Curiosity and initiative to seek out answers when needed.
• Strong technical skills and experience with HRIS platforms; ADP Workforce Now or Workday experience is a major plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with data, spreadsheets, and documentation.
• A systems-focused mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to support employees at all levels.
Why Talkiatry:
• A top-tier team of diverse, experienced professionals passionate about improving mental health care.
• A collaborative, fast-paced startup environment where you can help build and shape the future.
• Great benefits from day one, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with matching, generous PTO, paid holidays, parental leave, and more.
• Career growth opportunities supported by our Learning team as the company continues to expand.
• A strong focus on well-being—because as a mental health company, caring for our team is essential.
