Come join a well-funded, seed stage startup as one of the founding engineers and build a vertical SaaS product that has the potential to improve the lives of millions of property owners by improving how they interact with their community associations. The community management software space is a fragmented and under-developed $1 billion market rife with archaic software and inefficient workflows despite over $100 billion worth of transactions exchanging hands annually. We’re here to change that.
As a founding engineer, you will have a rare opportunity to substantially impact how the product takes shape. You will embark on a journey where your voice will be one of the primary ones helping to decide how things get done at each step of the way and you will play an important role in bringing the product to initial launch. You will work closely with the CTO and CEO to build software that will set us far ahead of the competition and keep us there.
This is a truly greenfield project where you will be exploring newer technologies and helping to shape the technical stack in a world where legacy code does not yet exist. You will get to move extremely fast to create and test value quickly, all while collaborating with a tight-knit team where every voice is heard and the best ideas win. Together, we will learn more than we can imagine and share the experience of what it takes to build a great company from the ground up.
About the Role
You will be one our first back-end engineer hires and will be expected to support much of the early API development for a web SaaS end-to-end. You’re experienced in things like schema design, SQL, API design, and testing best practices but you are also unafraid to roll up your sleeves and step outside of your comfort zone to tackle problems in adjacent spaces or across the stack. You are hungry but will execute with great care for both the end-user as well as the rest of our team.
About Us
Our CEO, Ethan Kalm, comes most recently from Square where he led multiple product initiatives ranging from onboarding to billing after being acquired as part of Weebly where he led growth.
Our CTO, Terry Liu, spent a number of years building community-based and business-oriented software at Nextdoor before leading multiple technical initiatives at the fitness startup, Tempo.
Together, with the support of our advisor board and network, we believe we are uniquely positioned to shake up the community association scene and create something that is truly delightful and impactful to millions of people as it helps them save time, improve their workflows, and foster a stronger sense of community.
We also believe in:

Enabling a remote-friendly work environment
