IBS has built and maintains an Accounting Management module as an integrated part of our Suite of Applications for golf and country clubs. This module allows clubs to manage their Payables, Banking, and General Ledger.

As part of this module, we have dozens of standard reports which our customers can use. However, in our experience, club reporting needs vary widely, leading to the business need for a custom financial report designer which would allow for customers to create their own financial statements and other reports.

The end product is a financial report designer with an Excel-like interface which allows club users to define for a given report what information will be shown, cell by cell. It will also have a formula wizard to help users with custom formulas to pull in the desired data. Data to be displayed on the reports is stored in a Microsoft SQL Server database.

Example financial reports include Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Profit and Loss, Statement of Cash Flows, etc. The reports will pull account dollar figures, or budget figures.
