Nielsen provides media and advertising clients audience measurement services across all
devices — television, radio, online, mobile — where content is consumed. We are the global leader in both television and digital measurement, helping our clients understand the reach of their content and advertising campaigns, as well as providing effectiveness metrics that help optimize and validate their overall spending, and maximize the value of their content.
The Financial Analyst is a member of the Digital Finance team. This is a fast paced, high
performing team that executes the overall financial planning and analysis of some of the fastest growing products within the Media portfolio. The Financial Analyst will be crucial to executing revenue recognition, understanding client trends, and providing management with key performance indicators.
Responsibilities:
● Support monthly revenue recognition for all digital clients and products
● Create Dashboards Provide analytics and insights into the trends of the digital clients;
utilize historical data in forecasting future trends and outlook
● Drive the development and implementation of creative solutions to improve quality,
timeliness and control within the financial planning, analysis and reporting processes
● Partner with various groups including Sales, Operations, Contracts, Finance to report out
findings, trends and identify solutions for potential issues
● Business Partner with key top accounts Amazon, Roku, Facebook, Google and support
forecasting and other initiatives
● Support annual budget planning, partner with business leads on strategic priorities, and
assist with narratives and storytelling around the business
● Perform various ad hoc financial analysis for management
The ideal candidate is curious, and coachable. An analytical mindset will benefit the Financial Analyst on a daily basis as critical thinking is required to excel. Appropriate prioritization of tasks is paramount as multiple initiatives will be engaged at once. The Financial Analyst will be given ample opportunity to grow, once a positive track record is established.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
● 1 – 2 years’ experience in data or financial analysis
● Must have a strong work ethic, self-motivated work style and a good attention to detail
and enjoy a dynamic environment with new challenges and changing work priorities
● Individual contributor and team player with great communication and interpersonal skills
● Strong organizational skills, close attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
● Strong communication skills
● Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Word and PowerPoint, ability to
learn SAP Financial system and Salesforce required
