As Associate FDA Counsel for Advertising and Promotion, you will review advertising, promotional, and other consumer-facing materials to ensure they comply with FTC and FDA rules and guidance. You will work closely with the Growth and Marketing teams to advise on marketing content across a wide range of platforms, including websites, social media, podcasts, billboards, and television. You have strong expertise in FDA and FTC advertising regulations and case law, especially regarding prescription drugs and health products. You are sharp, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects at once.

What You’ll Do:
• Act as the internal expert on FTC and FDA advertising and promotion requirements for health products, providing guidance to cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance.
• Review a broad range of promotional materials through Ro’s collaborative medical‑legal‑marketing review process, including Facebook and Google ads, website pages, national TV ads, podcast scripts, billboards, contests, sweepstakes, and more.
• Update company-wide guidelines and deliver training on advertising and promotional practices.
• Develop a deep understanding of Ro’s business to support thorough, multifaceted content reviews.
• Partner with teams across the company to support new strategic initiatives and marketing campaigns.
• Monitor developments in the FTC regulatory landscape, including rule interpretations and new case law.
• Stay current on changes in FDA and FTC regulations, advertising trends, enforcement actions, and relevant litigation.
• Work closely with teams such as Growth and Marketing.
• Show openness to expanding your expertise into related legal areas to meet the company’s evolving needs.

What You’ll Bring:
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• 2–4 years of FDA law experience, with strong knowledge of advertising and promotion rules for FDA‑regulated products.
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships throughout the organization.
• A business-focused mindset and the ability to turn legal guidance into practical recommendations.
• Ability to adapt and succeed in a fast‑moving, dynamic environment.
• Self‑motivated, capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
• Collaborative, team‑oriented approach.

The base salary range for this role is $116,500–$142,000, along with competitive equity and benefits. Compensation is determined by evaluating several factors, including location, relevant skills, experience, and job‑related knowledge, which may result in variations in pay.
