The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team oversees risk management, monitoring, reporting, and governance across the entire organization.
This role supports the creation and delivery of key risk management metrics. You will collaborate with various teams across the company, working on all areas of investment, market, and capital risk.
Success in this position requires a strong blend of technical expertise and communication skills, along with regular engagement and partnership with teams such as inforce projections, valuation, pricing, ALM, investments, and financial planning and analysis.
Responsibilities
• Develop, produce, and support risk metrics, including Embedded Value, Economic Solvency Ratio, Value of New Business, and the Insurance Capital Standard
• Support the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA)
• Participate in annuity pricing and product review activities
• Assist in model reviews and validation
• Provide support for ad hoc analyses and projects
• Contribute to project planning
Required Qualifications/Education
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in life or annuity modeling
• Associate (ASA) designation or active progress toward ASA
• Understanding of actuarial regulations for life and annuity products
• Strong project management abilities
• Ability to adapt priorities and deadlines quickly in a fast‑changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in annuity pricing and valuation
• Familiarity with Embedded Value (EV) and Economic Capital (EC)
• Knowledge of PolySystems and/or GGY AXIS valuation and projection tools
Protective’s salary range for this role is $92,000 to $135,000, with actual compensation dependent on factors such as location, skills, and experience. This range represents just one part of the overall compensation package.
This role also includes opportunities for additional incentives, either through an annual performance‑based incentive or through cash compensation via a sales incentive plan.
