Cricket Health is looking for a highly motivated full-time Junior Editor to join our growing marketing team. They will be an integral part of the Cricket Health marketing team and will assist staff with the preparation and execution of marketing materials. They will ensure marketing follows a consistent style that adheres to brand and team guidelines set forth by the Senior Editor. A variety of other content writing and editing tasks may be required as well, according to team needs. This role will report to the Creative Director and is fully remote. We’re a fast-paced environment where you will work with highly motivated teams on challenging projects. Responsibilities
Assists staff members in content development and formatting
Helps proofread and edit documents for clarity, spelling, punctuation, and grammar
Explain edits and editorial concepts to non-editors, and help bring consistency and cohesion to a wide range of content across the company
Ensures consistent, readable, and accurate materials
Possess knowledge of basic graphic design for print and digital products
Ensure brand standards are consistently met by providing quality control
Skills and Experiences
Excellent copy-editing and proofreading skills, especially using digital tools and formats
Excellent grammar and writing skills
Strong attention to detail and understanding of editorial guidelines
Excellent time-management and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggle and prioritize multiple projects at once and turn things around quickly
Experience working collaboratively across cross-functional teams
Experience working with terminology, style sheets, best practices, etc.
Experience in understanding and implementing a corporate brand style guide, and helping others understand how to apply brand strategy concepts in their work
Strong interpersonal skills and a great collaborator
Ability to embrace change and adapt quickly without compromising on quality or brand voice
Digitally savvy and stays up to date with trends within social media, our industries, and competitors
Quick learner, with facility adapting to internal tools, systems, and processes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or other related field
1-2 years of relevant professional experience
Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in PowerPoint, Excel
Experience using Google products
Willingness to complete a skills test
