The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Analyst will manage Penumbra’s EDI systems and transactions. This role is essential to successful EDI operations and serves as the main point of contact between Penumbra and its customers to resolve EDI-related issues.
Remote candidates within the United States are welcome. Please note that remote employees must work according to Pacific time hours and travel to headquarters once per quarter.
What You’ll Work On
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve EDI issues and errors promptly and effectively
• Serve as a liaison between the Customer and Field Support Operations (CFSO) team and the IT, Logistics, Finance, and Sales teams to address EDI concerns
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to grow EDI volume, capabilities, and performance
• Work directly with customers on onboarding, offboarding, and issue resolution
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to internal users and trading partners on EDI matters
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, effectively sharing ideas, resolving issues, and supporting customers
• Use analytical skills to review EDI data and recommend corrective actions to internal and external partners
• Maintain and update EDI documentation, standards, and procedures
• Stay informed about current EDI trends, technologies, and regulations in the healthcare sector
• Follow the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and adhere to domestic and international quality regulations, standards, and procedures
• Understand relevant security, privacy, and compliance requirements and adhere to applicable regulations, standards, and procedures
• Ensure that department team members comply with the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures
• Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned
What You Contribute
• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• At least 4 years of EDI experience; familiarity with the GHX platform is strongly preferred
• Experience in the medical device industry working with hospital customers
• Leadership experience within an EDI function
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
• Strong analytical capabilities
• High accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work while managing multiple projects
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly
• Ability to manage projects involving internal stakeholders
Working Conditions
Office-based environment. Requires occasional lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds. Must be able to move between buildings and floors. Must be able to remain seated and use a computer or standard office equipment for extended periods. Must be able to read, write emails, and create documents and spreadsheets. Must be able to move around the office and access files or supplies as needed. Must be able to communicate and share accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis.
Annual Base Salary Range: $100,000 – $142,000
This range reflects a high-cost labor market; compensation may differ in other regions. We offer a competitive salary along with benefits and an equity program when applicable. Total compensation will vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and location.
