Piton Labs is hiring a dedicated Business Development Representative as we enter our next phase of growth. In this role, you’ll be the first member of the team, helping expand our customer base and build new strategic partnerships. We strongly prefer candidates located between GMT‑8 (US West Coast) and GMT‑3, though we may consider other locations depending on circumstances.
**Responsibilities and expectations**
You will be involved in the full sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals—working closely with the founding team. While you don’t need deep technical expertise, having an active understanding of software development and the broader tech industry will help you clearly communicate our value to prospective customers.
Your primary responsibilities include:
• Identifying and reaching out to potential clients
• Representing Piton Labs at events, conferences, and meetings
• Developing and executing targeted sales strategies for key markets (startups and corporate innovation teams)
• Collaborating with the engineering team to understand customer needs and insights
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships through consistent communication
• Delivering product demos that clearly show how our solutions address customer challenges
**About you**
You’re driven by results and have a proven background in business development. You naturally build relationships and bring:
• **Ownership:** You take initiative, manage the full sales cycle, and help shape the company’s direction
• **Relationship building:** You transform partnerships into long-term business relationships
• **Strategic thinking:** You understand market trends and know how to position our technology effectively
• **Tech awareness:** You’re not a software engineer, but you understand the digital landscape well enough to explain our value convincingly

**General requirements**
• Native or near-native English proficiency
• At least four years of business development experience, ideally in a technology company
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business opportunities
**Remote work policy**
• We are fully remote and don’t have a physical office
• Preference for candidates in the US with work authorization
• Applicants from Canada, Uruguay, and Paraguay are also welcome
• Ability to overlap with Eastern Time by 4–6 hours per day
• Ideal for digital nomads; no fixed location needed
