Our base is in Switzerland, but we operate as a remote-first company. You’ll join a globally distributed team spanning more than 29 countries.

Our initiative is led by experienced experts in consensus mechanism architecture, randomness research, real-time data services, investment banking, digital securities, traditional stock exchanges, big data, doctoral-level academia, Big Four consulting, blockchain/DLT, and DeFi. We’re seeking a Data Research Analyst who will play a key role in strengthening our data-driven decision-making.

Role

• Statistical Analysis and Machine Learning: Perform time series analysis, apply statistical methods and machine learning algorithms, and build probabilistic models to forecast trends, extract insights from large datasets, evaluate risks, and identify anomalies in transaction data.

• Develop and Apply Optimal Control Strategies: Create and implement model predictive control (MPC) approaches using optimal control theory and state-space models to improve decision-making for DeFi systems.

• Algorithm Development for Large-Scale Optimization: Use innovative techniques to solve optimization challenges and support strong system performance.

Requirements

• Educational Background (Essential): A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent knowledge gained through self-directed learning. Strong knowledge of differential equations, linear algebra, system dynamics, state-space modeling, and numerical methods is highly desirable.

• Statistical Analysis (Essential): Proven understanding of statistics, time series analysis, and probability theory. Familiarity with statistical techniques and modern machine learning algorithms for inference and prediction.

• Control Theory (Highly Desirable): Knowledge of optimal control theory, model predictive control (MPC), and control system design. Hands-on experience designing and implementing MPC solutions and optimal control strategies for dynamical systems. Expertise in handling constraints and optimizing under uncertainty. Deep understanding of optimization methods, including linear, non-linear, and dynamic programming. Familiarity with appropriate solvers and optimization tools.

• Programming Skills (Essential): Advanced object-oriented programming ability, particularly in Python.

• Working with Large Datasets (Highly Desirable): Ability to handle issues involved with large datasets, especially time series and unstructured data.

• Debugging and Version Control (Desirable): Experience debugging and troubleshooting code. Proficiency with Git or comparable version control tools.

• Database Management (Nice to Have): Competence in SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) database management and querying. Experience designing databases for storing and retrieving data would be a plus.

• Blockchain Awareness (Nice to Have): Basic understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and DeFi concepts.

• Personal and Analytical Skills (Essential): Curious mindset and the ability to critically evaluate and challenge information. Strong independence and ownership, with the ability to manage complex work with minimal supervision. High initiative and adaptability, with the ability to approach new problems using first principles to find effective solutions.
