We’re a Y Combinator backed company that is looking for a hotshot data wrangler that can practice data kung fu to support multiple groups. This role will provide insight into our operations the data will help Sales, Marketing and the Product Development team. For too long the air travel industry have been surrounded by red tape and bureaucracy, and we’re looking for the person that wants to be a part of a platform that is truly disrupting this industry.
As a Data Hacker, a typical week might include the following: Managing the analytics for our product Own the analytics and data mining for our claim handling back-office systems Provide regular reports to the finance and management teams Develop insights that inform decisions to make our business more successful Develop ETL processes for data warehouse and Business Intelligence tools Analyzing source data coverage for holes or errors Automating creation and distribution of reports Work with the dev team to simplify data integration or normalization

You need to be fluent in: English, Linux, SQL, Scripting (Ruby or Python, Bash or similar), basic statistics, cloud computing, columnar data stores
Desired Experience: Creating tables, views and reports Experience with R, SAS or similar Big Data Tools Experience with Hive Query Language and Hadoop Experience with Cloud based Business Intelligence solutions. Amazon RedShift, https://chartio.com, Tableux or similar
