The Senior Data Analyst is a seasoned analytics professional who transforms complex, cross‑functional data into clear and actionable insights that influence business results while serving as a consultative partner. The role promotes analytical rigor, creates advanced BI solutions, mentors junior analysts, and collaborates with business, engineering, and governance teams to enhance decision‑making and operational effectiveness. The work centers on analytics using Databricks, SQL, R, Power BI, Python, and the Azure data ecosystem.

Position Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
– Lead high‑impact analytics projects from problem definition to delivery; assess value, design rigorous analyses, and present recommendations to partners and executives
– Work with business leaders to identify opportunities and deliver insights; communicate findings clearly and effectively
– Build analytics products using Databricks, modern BI and AI tools, and Agile practices
– Apply advanced analytics with Python for automation, modeling, and Databricks workflow integration
– Design and publish reliable Power BI datasets and dashboards that follow usability and adoption standards
– Develop efficient Databricks workflows to process large datasets, engineer features, and automate recurring analyses
– Create Python scripts for automation and integration with Databricks and Azure
– Collaborate with Data Engineering on scalable data solutions
– Ensure quality of analyses through validation, study design, and reproducibility practices
– Define and track KPIs; improve performance through scorecards and operational reporting tied to business goals
– Demonstrate strong data storytelling, statistical reasoning, and visualization skills
– Work with Data Governance and Compliance to ensure appropriate use of PHI and adherence to security requirements
– Support data stewardship and raise data literacy across the organization
– Promote adoption of data products to maximize value
– Stay informed on new analytics methods and technologies and apply them for continuous improvement
Required Skills and Experience
– Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline
– 4–8+ years of analytics experience, including 3+ years leading projects
– Proven success delivering analytics in complex environments with measurable outcomes
– Experience with healthcare data environments or the ability to adapt quickly
– Strong statistical and financial analytics skills, including study design and business case development
– Experience with Azure Data Factory, ADLS, and Synapse/Fabric, including security and governance
– Databricks experience with Spark/SQL, notebooks, jobs, performance tuning, and SQL Warehouses
– Strong SQL skills, including performance optimization on large datasets
– Proficiency in R for applied analytics and reproducible workflows
– Python experience for data wrangling, automation, and Azure/Databricks integration
– Power BI and Fabric expertise, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and security features
– Experience with Git‑based versioning and documentation best practices
– Ability to translate complex analyses into clear narratives and recommendations
– Strong stakeholder management and influence skills
– Demonstrated success delivering large or ambiguous projects
– Experience with Agile methodologies
– Strong data storytelling and visualization capabilities
– A product‑oriented mindset with focus on defining problems, success metrics, and driving adoption
– Strong ownership, independence, and sound judgment
Preferred Skills and Experience
– Master’s degree in a related field
– Certifications in Databricks, Power BI, or cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
– Experience with machine learning frameworks and MLOps
– Knowledge of data governance tools and compliance standards
– Understanding of advanced BI features such as Power BI Copilot and AI‑driven analytics
– Familiarity with healthcare data, groupers, and policies
– Experience with product management or analytics product delivery
