We’re protecting tens of thousands of endpoints across multiple cloud and on premise environments. As a Cybersecurity Engineer you’ll have the opportunity to work with industry leading technologies at scale to protect our products from an always evolving threat landscape. This hands-on position will be responsible for our end-to-end endpoint security controls and collaborate with other cross-functional teams to ensure central cybersecurity solutions are effective and in alignment with Nielsen’s strategic goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design, build, configure and maintain internal cybersecurity data loss prevention (DLP) technology and processes.
    • Provide cybersecurity guidance on the strategy and implementation of DLP.
    • Develop scripts and automation for complex DLP workflows and integrations.
    • Optimize DLP system performance and tuning policies for efficiency and accuracy.
    • Contribute to automation to facilitate deployment and configuration of cybersecurity technology both on-prem and in the cloud.
    • Development of architecture diagrams and documentation for Nielsen’s DLP controls and processes.
    • Remain current on cybersecurity technology, vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasures.
    • Discover opportunities and implement automation to drive efficiencies across technologies and processes within the cybersecurity organization.
    • Review performance, availability, and capacity metrics of internally and externally hosted technologies and service components to compare with service agreements.
    • Troubleshoot escalated cybersecurity technology problems.
    • Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade cybersecurity measures to protect enterprise data and infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience implementing and managing DLP (Data Loss Prevention) systems: including data classification, SaaS API protection, secure web gateway (SWG), and web browser controls.
    • Expertise in data classification methodologies and implementation.
    • Scripting/ automation experience (Python, Shell, Bash, Ansible).
    • Knowledge of cloud computing standards and controls (AWS,GCP, Azure).
    • Experience leading projects from start to finish.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to communicate technical details in a clear, understandable manner.
    • Experience providing and validating security requirements related to information system design, implementation and business processes.
    • Knowledge of common information security standards, such as: ISO, CIS, NIST.
    • Security certification such as SANS/GIAC, CISSP, CEH, OSCP
