Commercial Data Analyst – Remote in the US

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented analyst to join the commercial reporting and analysis team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting data analysis and reporting for our commercial organization. You will independently and proactively identify reporting issues and recommend solutions given critical timelines. This work is interdisciplinary and involves collaboration with the Invitae commercial team leadership, sales teams, finance, medical affairs, and our customers and clients.
What you’ll do:
Managing the day-to-day data reporting workflow across all programs, including the following tasks:
Testing report code
Error resolution
Preparing client reports ahead of delivery date
Quality control review of all reports before passing to commercial leads to review and deliver to client
Coordination with the Commercial team to improve upon report structure and content, escalating issues as they arise and to ensure client expectations are being met.
Building relationships with data science personnel at partner organizations to ensure their reporting questions are triaged appropriately and that reporting requests are implemented in a timely fashion.
Develop reports on our internal business data to drive insights on our products, channels and customer performance

2-4+ years demonstrated professional experience in statistics, data mining and manipulation preferred
Self-starter with an appetite for solving problems in complex systems.
Meticulous, with a drive to automate workflows and identify edge cases
Extremely organized and detail-oriented
Advanced user of Excel, with skills in data aggregation and visual presentation
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Working knowledge of Python and its applications to data science
Working knowledge of querying databases: SQL, data log, etc. Database management experience is a plus.
Works with a sense of urgency and ability to execute in dynamic setting with tight external deadlines
Able to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve data issues
Excellent data science communication skills
BA/BS or Master’s degree in bioinformatics or a related quantitative field
Preferred skills: Optional Section, these are not “deal breakers”.
Basic knowledge of Tableau a plus
Domain knowledge in clinical genetics/genomics is a plus
