The Clinical Lead serves as the senior clinical authority for Lyra in India, responsible for the integrity, quality, and safety of all clinical services. This role provides strategic leadership over clinical governance, oversees the delivery teams (Intake, Case Management, and Structured Counseling), and ensures that Lyra’s global standards are seamlessly operationalized within the Indian regulatory and cultural landscape.

Working Hours and Flexibility

  • Working Hours: 42.5 hours per week.

  • Schedule: 5 days a week.

Core Responsibilities

1. Clinical Governance & Quality Assurance

  • Framework Implementation: Lead the implementation and ongoing adherence to Lyra’s global clinical governance framework and quality standards within the Indian context.

  • Policy Development: Develop, review, and update local clinical policies and protocols to ensure full compliance with Indian mental health regulations (e.g., Mental Healthcare Act 2017), ethical guidelines, and best practices.

  • Quality Oversight: Design and oversee robust quality assurance activities, including systematic clinical audits, in-depth case reviews, and continuous outcome monitoring (CORE-10/Work Impact).

  • Incident Management: Lead investigations into serious clinical incidents and formal complaints, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure corrective actions and systemic learning.

  • Senior Escalation: Act as the final clinical escalation point for complex queries, ethical dilemmas, and high-risk situations, providing expert guidance and resolution.

2. Clinical Delivery Oversight & Team Management

  • Team Leadership: Provide senior clinical oversight and leadership to teams responsible for direct service delivery, including Intake Counselors, Clinical Case Managers, and Structured Counselors.

  • Fidelity & Pathways: Ensure consistent application of Lyra’s clinical pathways, standardized assessment tools, and evidence-based intervention protocols across all delivery teams.

  • Capacity Planning: Contribute to strategic planning regarding clinical team capacity and resource allocation to align with service demand and operational efficiency.

  • Professional Development: Oversee onboarding and continuous professional development programs, focusing on clinical fidelity and the sophisticated use of Lyra’s methodologies.

  • Mentorship: Foster a high-performance environment by providing direct mentorship and supervision to Clinical Team Leaders.

3. Case Management Excellence

  • Clinical Integrity: Maintain overall responsibility for the clinical integrity and effectiveness of the case management function.

  • Data-Driven Optimization: Analyze aggregate case management data and trends to identify areas for process refinement and improved client outcomes.

  • High-Acuity Consultation: Provide direct clinical guidance on high-acuity or highly sensitive cases requiring senior-level review and intervention.

  • Care Coordination: Ensure rigorous adherence to best practices in care coordination, inter-provider collaboration, and referral pathways across the service spectrum.

4. Interdepartmental Collaboration & Strategic Input

  • Network Partnership: Partner with the Network Operations Manager to ensure the provider network aligns with Lyra’s standards, providing clinical input on recruitment criteria and performance expectations.

  • Strategic Advisory: Provide essential clinical expertise to Product Development, Commercial, and Client Success teams to inform service evolution and market strategy.

  • Thought Leadership: Represent Lyra’s clinical approach and quality standards in external forums, conferences, and industry discussions.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a clinical field (e.g., Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work).

  • Optional: Valid and current professional registration/licensure to practice independently in India (e.g., RCI registration for Clinical Psychologists or equivalent recognized national bodies).

Experience:

  • Several years of extensive post-qualification clinical experience in mental health, including direct assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions.

  • Several years of progressive experience in a clinical leadership, supervisory, or programmatic oversight role within India.

  • Deep understanding of the Indian mental healthcare landscape and regulatory compliance.

  • Fluency in English and Hindi is essential; knowledge of other major regional languages is a significant advantage.

  • Workshop & Content: Lead the delivery of onsite or online workshops and contribute to the development of training manuals and affiliate-facing materials.

  • Event Participation: Represent Lyra Health at professional events and webinars to promote Lyra’s transformative care model and clinical research.
