Macon Travel Easy has a great problem with more business than we can currently handle. We are looking for a mission-focused, strategic, and process-minded leader who will define the process and implement the infrastructure/systems needed to support substantial growth over the next two years. S/he will continue to build and manage effective and streamlined administrative/financial systems, including financial and accounting; but also could lead legal, information technology (IT), and human resources (HR).

Financial Management: Review and approve preparation and finalization of monthly and annual financial reporting materials and metrics for MTE. Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow for administration, existing programs, and proposed new sites. Manage one full-time accounting assistant; hire and retain support staff as needed in the future. Coordinate all audit activities.

Administrative Leadership and Management Serve as a business partner to the CEO on the organization’s financial, budgeting, and administrative processes—including HR, payroll, and benefits functions—with an eye to continuously developing and improving systems.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the CEO, the COO will lead all internal operations and will have the following responsibilities:

Working in partnership with the CEO, create the strategic five-year plan and implement new processes and approaches to achieve it Serve as the internal leader of the organization Provide for all staff a strong day-to-day leadership presence; support an open-door policy among all staff Instill a human capital development and “coaching” culture within MTE; upgrade human resources functions including: training, development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance evaluation and recruiting Develop an accounting system that provides the organization with quick access to financial information and enables strategic budgeting
