Piton Labs is looking for a dedicated, reliable Business Development Representative to help drive the company’s next phase of growth. As the first person in this role, you will play a key part in expanding our customer base and building strategic partnerships. We strongly prefer candidates in time zones GMT-8 to GMT-3 (covering the U.S. West Coast), but other locations may be considered case by case.
### Responsibilities and expectations
You will take part in the entire sales cycle—from lead generation to closing—with full support from the startup’s founding team. While deep technical training isn’t required, having some knowledge of software development and familiarity with the tech industry will help you clearly communicate our value to potential customers.
Your main responsibilities include:
– Prospecting and reaching out to new leads
– Representing Piton Labs at meetings, industry events, and conferences
– Developing and executing a sales strategy focused on core markets (startups and corporate innovation teams)
– Collaborating with the engineering team to share customer insights and requirements
– Maintaining and deepening customer relationships through consistent communication
– Conducting demos and presentations to explain how our solutions help solve customer problems
### About you
You are proactive and results-driven, with strong business development experience and an instinct for building and maintaining relationships. What sets you apart is that you:
– Take ownership: you want to run the full process and help grow the company
– Build relationships well: you can expand partnerships and turn your network into customers
– Think strategically: you understand market dynamics and know how to position our technical value effectively
– Understand the tech landscape: even if you’re not an engineer, you’re familiar enough with digital and technology ecosystems to clearly articulate our value
If these qualities resonate with you, we’d love to talk.
### Basic requirements
– Native-level English
– 4+ years of experience in business development, ideally within the technology sector
– Proven success in developing new business
### Remote work policy
– Fully remote, no physical office
– Preference for candidates with authorization to work in the U.S.
– Candidates from Canada, Uruguay, or Paraguay are considered a secondary option
– Most workdays should overlap by 4–6 hours with U.S. Eastern Time
– Ideal for digital nomads without a fixed office location
### Why join us
– Competitive compensation with a base salary and uncapped commission
– Four weeks of paid vacation
– Fully remote work
– Great work-life balance—join a fast-growing startup with no after-hours weekend work
If you want to help us grow and believe you can make a meaningful impact, get in touch and let’s talk.
