Piton Labs is looking for a highly motivated Business Development professional to help us launch our next stage of growth. As the first person in this role, you will be crucial in two key areas: growing our customer base and developing new strategic partnerships. We prefer candidates in the GMT-8 (US West Coast) to GMT-3 time zone range; candidates from other regions may be considered depending on the circumstances.

**Responsibilities and expectations**
With guidance from the founding team, you will take part in the entire sales cycle—from initial outreach through closing. You don’t need deep technical expertise, but you should have a strong grasp of software development and the tech industry so you can clearly explain our value.

Your main responsibilities include:
– Finding and contacting potential new customers
– Representing Piton Labs at meetings, events, and industry conferences/expos
– Creating and carrying out targeted sales strategies for our core markets (startups and enterprise innovation)
– Working with the engineering team to share customer needs and market feedback
– Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
– Giving demos and delivering product presentations to help customers understand how our solutions solve their challenges

**About you**
You are driven and experienced in business development. You know how to build relationships and maintain them over time. You bring particular strengths in the following areas:
– **Ownership:** You want to lead the process end-to-end and help drive company growth
– **Relationship building:** You can attract partners and convert your network into customers
– **Strategic thinking:** You understand market trends and can position our technology effectively
– **Technical awareness:** You may not be a software engineer, but you’re comfortable with the digital space and can clearly communicate our value

**General requirements**
– English proficiency at a native level
– 4+ years of business development experience, ideally in the tech industry
– Proven and verifiable success in acquiring new customers

**Remote work**
– Fully remote, with no fixed office location
– Preferred: applicants based in the United States, with work authorization
– Also considered: applicants from Canada, Uruguay, or Paraguay
– Ability to overlap with US Eastern Time by 4–6 hours on most workdays
– Ideal for digital nomads who don’t have a permanent workplace
