Piton Labs is looking for a highly motivated Business Development professional to help us launch our next phase of growth. As the first person in this role, you’ll play a key part in two areas: expanding our customer base and building new strategic partnerships. We prioritize candidates in the GMT-8 to GMT-3 time zone range (US West Coast to GMT-3). Other regions may be considered depending on circumstances.
**Responsibilities and expectations**
With support from the founding team, you’ll be involved in the full sales process—from the first outreach to closing. You don’t need deep technical expertise, but you should have a solid understanding of software development and the tech industry so you can clearly communicate our value.
Your main responsibilities include:
– Identifying and reaching out to potential new customers
– Representing Piton Labs at meetings, industry events, and conferences/expos
– Developing and executing sales strategies tailored to our core markets (startups and corporate innovation)
– Partnering with the engineering team to relay customer needs and market feedback
– Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
– Delivering product demos and presentations to show how our solutions help customers solve their problems
**About you**
You are driven and experienced in business development. You’re great at building relationships and sustaining them over the long term. You stand out especially in:
– **Ownership:** you want to drive the process end to end and contribute to the company’s growth
– **Relationship building:** you can attract partners and turn your network into customers
– **Strategic thinking:** you understand market dynamics and can position our technology effectively
– **Technical sense:** you may not be an engineer, but you’re comfortable in a digital environment and can clearly communicate our value

**General requirements**
– Native-level English
– 4+ years of experience in business development, ideally in the technology sector
– Proven, verifiable results in acquiring new customers
**Remote work**
– Fully remote, with no fixed office
– Preferred: candidates based in the United States, with work authorization
– Secondary: candidates from Canada, Uruguay, or Paraguay
– Ability to overlap working hours with US Eastern Time by 4–6 hours on most weekdays
