ROLE SUMMARY Along with a phenomenal Solution Architect it’s only natural to need a Business Analyst to match and to further develop our 2015 Award Winning BCG AppLabs Initiatives. Our Munich team in Germany is looking for a stellar Business Analyst who can partner closely with our design and engineering team, while owning their function and relationships within the greater organization. A typical day for this person will include things like syncing up with consulting teams and working with them to figure out how our design and engineering team can create innovative and customized solutions and not only support clients we engage with, but rather enhance them. Our Business Analysts are savvy, quick thinkers and are always looking to educate and show their team’s capabilities and successes to internal and external clients. They are the individuals who own a lot of these relationships, work tirelessly to understand user requirements, prioritize requests and make sure at the end of the day that all stakeholders are on the same page within fast paced and highly creative projects.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
You will visualize projects at a high level and set the pace for the team, own your role, make recommendations to product owners in a highly collaborative environment as well as stakeholders to figure out the most creative solutions
You will evaluate technology options and figure out how they can be used for various business problems. Part of your role is determining what that competitive landscape looks like, what the hot technology trends are, what they mean, where they are going and how they can be leveraged in various problem scenarios
You will build user stories that engage and communicate with the design and engineering team. Additionally, these stories also serve to facilitate stakeholder sign-off so your tech gurus can lead the charge on creating world-class solutions
You will create and maintain detailed back logs of product feature requests that include all stakeholders: we have to make sure everyone knows exactly who is involved in each project
You will identify them with the technical team and hold everyone accountable when it all kicks off. You also get to leverage loads of tools that will help stakeholders, designers and developers visualize requirements, high level navigation flows and functional relationships. You also get to instruct and direct solution engagement teams, be your determined self (on behalf of the stakeholders), formulate and define project scopes, integration requirements, and any objectives for user-based needs
You will set clear timelines and expectations with delivery leads, herd the pack to stay on schedule, manage change and control scope creep. You will also identify any problems coming with the territory and it’s your job to evaluate potential risks, be transparent with appropriate parties and take on an active role in QA-ing the deliverables
You will keep in mind you will be a part of leading the charge in this region so we will look to you for best practices, processes for requirement elicitation, capture, management, tracking and change management
