Brand Strategist at Resident United States
About Resident: Resident is an industry leader in the Direct-to-Consumer mattress and home furnishings category.
Since founding the (multi-award-winning brand) Nectar Sleep in 2016 (with over 2 million happy sleepers and counting!), we have also launched Dreamcloud, Awara and Level Sleep brands to cater to a variety of sleep preferences.
We’re data and performance marketing nerds at heart, so we use metrics to help guide our internal decision-making. That said, our customers don’t speak in numbers, and we don’t treat them as such. We value the impact of brand marketing and balancing both has been, and will continue to be, a crucial element of our ongoing growth.
Our mission is simple; we strive to make inspiring products people love coming home to and to help everyone afford a great night’s sleep!
You can also expect a hard working global team of people who understand how to create meaningful connections and get great work done virtually – it’s in our nature!
About the role Resident is looking for a Brand Strategist to join our growing Creative team.
If you:
Have lots of big, juicy creative ideas and would love the chance to experiment with them.
Are obsessed with driving performance (but not at the expense of brand).
Love developing brand voice guides and messaging frameworks.
Have a clear, concise, smart writing style.
Can confidently edit/critique/optimize other copywriters’ work.
Love working on the strategy (and copy) for product launches, paid social ads, landing pages, email sequences, website copy, product description copy, and real-life advertising (think: physical packaging, billboards, and print ads) then we’d love to hear from you! As Brand Strategist, you’ll be collaborating and supporting Resident’s creative, marketing, and performance teams. That said, you won’t be an “order taker” but a valuable partner in the evolution of our brand voice across multiple product lines and marketing channels.
Ideally, you’ll have experience in coaching, critiquing, and optimizing other copywriters’ work – as you won’t be doing it all alone. You’ll be involved in pulling together a team of talented copywriters who can execute for you, and alongside you, to help grow our international presence and our product lines.
Sounds exciting? Yes, we’re biased in saying this, but this is a serious opportunity for anyone looking to flex their awesome copywriting skills on a global scale.
