BI Architect
Primary Skills

Job requirements

    • Architecture, Data Modeling & Governance
    • Design and build new BI products (e.g. datasets, reports, dashboards) following reference architecture (data sources → staging/ETL → warehouse/data lake → semantic models → reports) emphasizing security, lineage, and reusability.
    • Design and build data models for reporting.
    • Establish and enforce development standards (naming, versioning, code review, test/data validation, documentation).
    • Optimize pipelines (SQL/ETL) and ensure reliable, well modeled datasets for reporting.
    • Implement performance strategies (partitioning, aggregations, incremental refresh, caching, index tuning).
    • Solutions Delivery (Dashboards & Reporting)
    • Translate business requirements into Microsoft Fabric solutions; iterate quickly with stakeholders.
    • Write advanced T-SQL, Power Query, and DAX scripts; build reusable measures and shared data models
    • Drive adoption: publish content, manage workspace/app security, and conduct training/office hours.
    • Analytics & Decision Support
    • Perform descriptive/diagnostic analyses; run sensitivity/what if scenarios to inform inventory, pricing, and service trade offs.
    • Build forecasts or simple statistical models where appropriate; validate results and quantify business impact.
    • Create clear data stories—narratives that highlight drivers, risks, and recommended
    • Perform other duties assigned that support the overall success of the team, department, or organization. This may include participating in cross-functional initiatives, contributing to process improvements, or assisting with special projects as needed.

    • Education/Experience/Qualifications/Certifications:
    • Required
    • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
    • 4+ years in BI/Analytics with combined experience in data modeling and dashboard development.
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft BI tools (Power BI) and visualization best practices.
    • 3+ years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or food manufacturing industry.
    • 1+ years of experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
    • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Fabric.
    • Proficiency in T-SQL, Microsoft database technologies, and DevOps.
    • Advanced SQL; working knowledge of ETL tooling and Python (e.g. PySpark, SemPy) for data wrangling/automation.
    • Proven ability to gather requirements, define KPIs, and convert business questions into analytical outputs.
    • Experience tuning dataset/report performance and implementing row level security.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strong skills in technical draftsmanship and working knowledge of standard software and database documentation artifacts.
    • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, time management, multi-tasking and communication skills.
    • Passion, humility, integrity, credibility, and commitment to values.
    • Excellent people skills that generate respect and trust from stakeholders.
    • Data-driven with an affinity for business process enhancement and automation.
    • Preferred
    • Familiarity with Azure data services or equivalent cloud data platforms.
    • Exposure to forecasting/statistical methods and data quality frameworks.
