Are you a clear communicator and a skilled troubleshooter? Do you have strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in helping people succeed through online learning? Do you enjoy working with different teams to solve challenges and thrive in a fast-moving, evolving environment?

If so, this role could be a great fit.

Join a dedicated team committed to improving people’s lives and careers through design education. With over 165,000 members and the trust of Fortune 500 companies, the Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF) is seeking an Admin and Support Specialist to assist our fast-growing team and help us deliver the best possible online learning experience.

Our members are at the center of everything we do—they are the reason we exist. We go above and beyond to support them, which is why we’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, empathy, and a natural commitment to excellence.

What you’ll do:

You’ll contribute to our mission of becoming the world’s leading and most respected design school. You’ll embark on a meaningful journey where you will:

• Communicate daily with current and prospective members across various channels, answering questions and resolving issues.
• Represent our brand with professionalism and help maintain our strong reputation.
• Work with multiple teams to improve internal workflows and enhance the platform’s user experience.
• Handle general administrative tasks, ad-hoc assignments, and support team members as needed.
• Maintain and enhance documentation to ensure high-quality, effective resources.
• Help shape processes that improve engagement and boost key metrics.
• Update our internal knowledge base and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Collaborate with other teams to share customer insights, support retention and growth, and provide updates.
• Embody our values and often serve as the first point of contact for our community, playing a vital role in our foundation’s continued growth.

About you:

• You excel in a dynamic environment with varied, ad-hoc tasks.
• You’re enthusiastic about helping others and earning their appreciation.
• You’re resourceful and independent, using problem-solving skills to take on new work.
• You have strong attention to detail and work thoroughly.
• You enjoy tackling unexpected issues and addressing needs proactively.
• You write exceptionally well and are eager to learn and contribute.
• You understand personal responsibility and follow through on your commitments.
• You value consistency and stay focused even during repetitive tasks.
• You’re comfortable working under tight deadlines and can prioritize effectively.
• You’re resilient, recovering quickly from setbacks and offering solutions.
• You’re disciplined and thrive in a flat, highly autonomous work environment.

What we offer:

• A full-time role in a completely remote organization, with daily video contact and team trips once or twice a year.
• A workplace free of inflated titles, office politics, and corporate drama, where your character, work ethic, and results matter most.
• The chance to contribute to a scalable, impact-driven model that has grown more than 50% every year since 2013—built entirely without outside investment and driven by the belief that accessible design education can improve lives.
• A company where ideas can quickly turn into action, with no bureaucracy and high levels of structure and efficiency.
• The opportunity to see the direct impact of your work as we help more people access quality design education.
• A culture where high performance, idealism, and excellence come together—requiring grit, long-term thinking, discipline, and a strong work ethic.
• Colleagues who favor action and practical results over unrealistic planning, and who will inspire you with their dedication—just as your results will inspire them.
• The chance to positively influence the learning journey of tens of thousands of designers worldwide.
• A role on one of our most valued teams, where administrative and support work is deeply respected.
