If you’re a strong communicator who can manage many overlapping projects and conversations at once, this could be the ideal role for you. As an Account Manager, you’ll support onboarding new clients, delivering marketing content, and renewing accounts (primarily marketing teams at technology startups). A background in content marketing, marketing agency account management, or developer marketing/developer relations will give you a major advantage in understanding both our clients and their content.

Note: This is not primarily a sales position. You’ll mainly maintain and improve relationships with existing clients, but the role will require frequent client interaction, along with driving renewals and upsells.

We’re looking for someone who can:
– Understand complex technical topics at a high level (software development or developer relations experience is a plus)
– Deliver completed work to clients by the agreed deadlines
– Communicate quickly and clearly with clients and Draft.dev team members in excellent written and spoken English
– Support renewals and client onboarding
– Understand the basics of content marketing, editorial standards, and search engine optimization

Expectations:
– 3+ years of account management, marketing, or a related field
– About 40 working hours per week
– Meet deadlines consistently
– Follow and improve account management processes
– Participate in a weekly account check-in meeting
– Attend renewal meetings with clients (mostly based in the US and EU) at their convenience
– Have reliable internet access and a functioning computer

Perks:
– Flexible working hours, location, and mostly asynchronous work
– $40/hour pay, with the opportunity to transition to an equivalent salary ($83,200/year) and paid time off after 6 months
– Work directly with a team of experienced Account Managers
– Help shape the direction of a fast-growing small business

Hiring Process:
1. Submit your application (link below).
2. Complete a brief role-playing assignment by email.
3. Join a 30-minute Zoom call to discuss your experience and answer questions about the role.
4. Complete a 2-hour paid mock renewal exercise.
