We focus on serving investment professionals — financial advisors, family offices, hedge funds, endowments, foundations, and others — the people entrusted to look after the capital and savings of individuals and institutions across the country. We provide education, partnership, and professionally managed investment products tailored to this group’s needs, to help them build their view, pick their strategy, and get their exposure.

Currently, Bitwise is a close-knit team of 50+ professionals. Our backgrounds combine technology expertise with decades of experience in asset management and indexing, coming from firms including BlackRock, Blackstone, Facebook and Google, as well as the U.S. Attorney’s Office. We’re backed by some of the most accomplished investors in venture capital and veterans of the financial services world. We’re looking for an exceptional individual to join our team and take on important responsibilities to help Bitwise scale. You will report to the Head of Creative and Content Marketing, playing a key role in writing, editing, and developing new content for Bitwise.

What You Will Do

You’ll be responsible for writing and editing a variety of different types of content, including research notes, client emails, investment perspectives, op-eds, white papers, press releases, social media threads, video scripts, marketing copy, and more.
You’ll work cross-functionally across nearly all parts of the business, ensuring there is consistently high-quality written content that touches on sales, research, marketing, investor relations, and the executive team.
You will work closely with our legal and compliance team to ensure content is properly reviewed and aligned with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
You will help manage the firm’s relationships with external content partners, ensuring materials are accurate and reflective of the Bitwise brand.
You will proactively generate new content ideas to advance Bitwise’s mission of providing insight and education to different audiences.
You will contribute ideas and recommendations to Bitwise’s overall press strategy with an eye toward how to best position the firm in the current news environment.

Who You Are

You have 5+ years of professional work experience.
You have 5+ years of experience as a writer or editor, whether in journalism, corporate communications, or public relations. Experience writing for financial audiences is a plus.
You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a field that demands high-quality research, writing, and independent thinking.
You write clearly and succinctly with a special knack for explaining difficult concepts. You have an appreciation for nuances in rhythm and tone in your writing.
You can write in an accessible, approachable style.
You are a fastidious editor with a keen eye for detail and a love for proper grammar and consistency.
You have a strong grasp of fundamental crypto concepts and a deep curiosity to learn more.
You think independently. You aren’t afraid of asking tough (or simple) questions when they help you, the firm, or the audience better understand a given concept or project.
You have proven ability to achieve results working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and/or executive teams.
You have exceptional time management, organization, and self-motivation abilities. Your work ethic is a source of pride. You know how to prioritize tasks and to deliver projects on time.
You are team-centric and care deeply about your relationships with the team.
