We’re looking for a talented Screenwriter to join our team on a freelance basis. Writers will work closely with WEBTOON’s Production team to develop scripts for both original series and adaptations. The ideal candidate has experience writing for vertical scrolling comics, though we also value creative professionals from diverse backgrounds, including animation and games.

We’re especially interested in writers who are passionate about the genres Action, Horror, Suspense, and Adult Romance.

Responsibilities:
– Write scripts for WEBTOON and revise them based on Production team feedback
– Adapt books and other source materials into WEBTOON scripts, and edit scripts for production
– Work with producers to ensure the story is effectively translated into the comics format

Requirements:
– REQUIRED: Familiarity with WEBTOON formats or vertical scrolling comics
– A strong portfolio showcasing your work (applications without a portfolio or samples will not be considered)
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a creative team
– Ability to meet short deadlines while maintaining high quality
– Current enrollment in an accredited program, or graduation, or equivalent professional experience
