Mango Languages is seeking enthusiastic, knowledgeable K12-certified Spanish instructors for Mango Live, our online live instruction program. In this remote contract role, you will create personalized blended learning assignments and deliver live sessions using Mango Languages’ proprietary learning tools. You will teach and assess small groups (3–6) and larger groups (7+) of K12 Spanish students. Classes will use a communicative approach, along with Mango’s proprietary methodologies and curricula, to support engaging online live instruction.
This remote position lets you work from anywhere in the world with flexible hours that fit your schedule. You’ll be part of a diverse team of instructors and administrators who are there to support you and share ideas. Regular feedback and ongoing training will help you grow both personally and professionally. You will build strong relationships with your students and track their progress over time.
The ideal candidate can communicate clearly and effectively in both English and Spanish. You are an experienced educator with a passion for teaching language and culture.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Use the communicative approach and the Mango methodology in online language instruction.
- Prepare personalized sessions using Mango Language learning tools.
- Teach and assess K12 Spanish student groups online.
- Evaluate students’ language proficiency and provide regular progress reports.
- Maintain attendance records, student schedules, and syllabi.
- Commit to teaching 10 to 30 hours per week, typically during US working hours.
Requirements
- Spanish native or near-native speaker
- Advanced English proficiency (C1 or above)
- US K12 certification to teach Spanish
- Passion for teaching and learning language and culture
- Experience using technology in live online language instruction
- Reliable internet connection
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of language proficiency standards, including ACTFL
- Deep understanding of language learners in a virtual setting
- Experience working with diverse groups of learners
- Advanced knowledge of current instructional methodology trends
- Moodle and Zoom experience preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of language teaching experience preferred
