Marigold Health is looking for a creative Recovery Coach to help individuals improve their well-being and reduce substance use through a new model of technology-enhanced peer support. This full-time role requires availability in the evenings and on weekends, typically Sunday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET.
Marigold Health’s mission is to ensure that anyone facing mental health or substance use challenges has a place where they feel genuinely heard.
We provide evidence-based virtual peer support to people working toward recovery or reducing the harms associated with substance use.
We’ve created an innovative program that strengthens peer support using technology—starting with automated, interactive outreach and continuing through digital, asynchronous group conversations. Through Marigold’s mobile app, people in recovery can access tools designed to build recovery skills and broaden their support networks.

– Build connections with a group of members through scheduled phone/video calls, text messages, digital support groups, and wellness planning
– Work with members and their care teams to develop detailed wellness plans using evidence-based screening tools
– Share a peer-informed perspective to help shape new digital interventions, technology features, and training content
– Document your work in our systems according to Marigold’s guidelines and industry standards
– Use your lived experience with mental health and/or addiction to support others seeking or maintaining recovery
**What You Have**
– At least one year of experience as a Peer Specialist or Recovery Coach
– Certification in Massachusetts as an Addiction Recovery Coach
– Reliable internet access in a private workspace (a laptop will be provided)
– Ability to work evenings and weekends
– Confidence using a smartphone, computer, and tools such as Microsoft Office
– Ability to record member interactions in an electronic system
– Willingness to share personal lived experience related to mental health and/or substance use
– Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance
– Demonstrated experience creating wellness plans or recovery goals
– Ability to adjust and prioritize based on members’ needs
– Experience providing digital peer support (including on social media) is a plus
– Spanish fluency is a plus
**Benefits and Perks**
– Your voice matters—your peer perspective will be key in shaping a new technology-based program from the start
– Remote work flexibility, with a provided laptop and cell phone
– Ongoing training and learning opportunities
– A positive, supportive environment with community activities
– Full-time benefits, including health, dental, vision, paid time off, and a mental health stipend
– Competitive salary ranging from $45,000 to $52,000
– Opportunities for a monthly performance-based bonus
