Plaid’s Brand team is made up of marketing designers, brand designers, copywriters, strategists, and other specialists who shape and grow the Plaid brand. As a Video Producer & Editor, you’ll join the Brand Studio, a team dedicated to strengthening Plaid’s emotional and visual presence across every touchpoint. You’ll help enhance our live‑action video capabilities by capturing authentic stories that showcase our people, products, and mission. You’ll collaborate with designers, copywriters, strategists, and our video studio manager to plan, film, and edit high‑quality videos that communicate Plaid’s story with clarity and warmth. From documentary‑style interviews to brand campaigns, you’ll help define how live‑action storytelling makes Plaid feel human, relatable, and inspiring.

We’re looking for an experienced Video Producer & Editor to join the Brand Studio. You’ll oversee projects from initial concept through final edit, creating thoughtful, authentic videos that reflect Plaid’s identity. This role is ideal for a storyteller skilled both behind the camera and in the edit suite. You’ll film interviews, brand narratives, and product stories that turn complex topics into clear, human‑centered content. Working closely with our video studio manager and partners across brand, marketing, and design, you’ll help shape the tone and quality of Plaid’s video presence across our website, social channels, and campaigns. Your work will bring forward the people and purpose behind Plaid, helping millions better understand the technology and values shaping the financial future.

Responsibilities
• Make finance and technology easier to understand and more inclusive through strong design and storytelling.
• Develop creative, unexpected ways to clarify complex topics.
• Identify the core message and emotional takeaway for each video.
• Strengthen our brand by producing top‑tier video across marketing and product channels.
• Create exceptional live‑action content for campaigns, product explainers, internal communications, and events.
• Capture and edit cinematic stories that make our products, people, and impact feel relatable and inspiring.
• Partner with the Brand Studio and design system teams to ensure visual consistency, quality craftsmanship, and scalable production.
• Work with brand, product, and growth marketing teams to produce compelling video campaigns that simplify complex ideas and engage viewers.
• Provide creative direction and on‑set guidance to teammates and freelancers to elevate the quality and storytelling of our video work.

Qualifications
• 4–6+ years of experience producing, filming, and editing live‑action video for brands, agencies, or creative studios.
• Proven ability to manage video production from pre‑production through post‑production.
• Hands‑on experience with camera operation, lighting, and audio for small to mid‑sized shoots.
• Strong sense of composition, framing, and cinematic storytelling, with the ability to transform complex ideas into compelling narratives.
• Skilled at directing on‑camera talent and conducting interviews that capture genuine performances.
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, with experience in color correction and grading tools like DaVinci Resolve. Familiarity with Figma, Descript, Runway, and emerging AI tools that enhance creative workflows.
• Experience filming and editing product UI footage to demonstrate real‑world product usage.
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple shoots and timelines.
• A portfolio featuring exceptional live‑action work and editing across campaigns, product videos, and brand storytelling.
• Bonus: experience helping to build or support an in‑house video studio, including input on equipment, set design, or workflow.

$151,200 – $208,800 a year

The base salary range listed applies to this full‑time role and excludes commission (if relevant), equity, and benefits. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and relevant education or training.
