The Forklift Operator will work in a fast‑paced, lean warehouse environment and handle tasks such as receiving and storing incoming shipments, shipping orders, and replenishing products in pick locations using a forklift or cart. The role includes maintaining accurate inventory, checking cooler and freezer temperatures, and keeping the warehouse organized. Experience with both stand-up and sit-down forklifts and RF scan guns is required.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., paying $20.00 per hour.
Job responsibilities include:
• Being available for various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends based on freight volume
• Sorting, loading, unloading, and handling palletized and non‑palletized freight using motorized or manual equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, as well as manual lifting
• Primarily operating stand‑up forklifts
• Using handheld devices to track shipments
• Safely entering and exiting trailers
• Lifting items of different sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs frequently)
• Securing freight in trailers using pallets, straps, ropes, and other tools
• Standing and walking for long periods on a loading dock that may be cold or slippery
• Reaching, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting, and kneeling as needed
• Completing required paperwork and reports
• Following company safety rules
• Working closely with co‑workers and supervisors in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
• Working safely in cold conditions
Required skills and experience:
• Stand‑up or high‑low forklift experience
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
• Basic math skills
Preferred skills and experience:
• High school diploma or GED
Physical requirements:
• Frequent use of hands to handle tools, controls, and objects; regular reaching with arms
• Frequent standing, communicating, and listening
• Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
• Occasional lifting or moving up to 50 pounds
• Adequate vision, including peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
• Ability to perform repetitive movements
• Ability to work in hot or cold environments
