The Editorial Team within the WEBTOON Content Department is responsible for finding, developing, and producing WEBTOON ORIGINALS. We are seeking the next generation of WEBTOON fans to join a 16‑week hands‑on internship, working directly with several experienced editors. Interns will learn the unique development and production methods behind each series, including weekly release structure, vertical scroll storytelling, genre and audience expectations, and critical reading skills that support sourcing and developing new titles. Most importantly, interns will help shape the lineup of WEBTOON Original Series for 2025.
Ideal candidates should have some experience creating comics or visual media through coursework or personal projects, be fans of diverse online content, and have some background in digital content production.
Candidates must be enthusiastic about working across a broad range of genres and collaborating with creative teams. They should also show an understanding of current social media and pop‑culture trends.
This role reports to the Senior Managing Editor and involves working closely with assistant, associate, and senior editors. Applications must include the required Pitch Skills Test.

Essential Duties
• Discover series on the CANVAS platform with clear goals and value in mind
• Learn the core qualities of a WEBTOON Original, including story, art, and format
• Provide thoughtful creative feedback for sourcing and developing series
• Participate in daily readings and discussions of Originals and CANVAS works
• Assist with reviewing and organizing entries for the 2025 Webcomic Legends Contest
• Contribute to new ideas that push boundaries and challenge expectations
• Become familiar with strong editorial strategies and best practices
Minimum Qualifications
• Must be a recent graduate, junior, senior, or graduate student in an accredited program
• Submit an academic transcript
• Passion for comics and willingness to learn
• Basic skills in software such as Photoshop and Clip Studio
• Strong creative storytelling abilities and understanding of story fundamentals
• Interest in and awareness of pop‑culture and current trends
• Ability to clearly present ideas to an editor
• Eagerness to create content for new audiences
Pay rate: 17.28 USD per hour.
