Content Writer

Role Summary

In this role, you will create and edit content for the Oasis Foundation. You will be part of the Communications circle within the broader Marketing and Community team, reporting to the Head of Communications.

You will develop Oasis messaging, write for our blog, produce opinion pieces for leading crypto publications, and support social media content. You will collaborate with an additional Content Writer, as well as the wider Marketing and Community team and external agencies.

Working across multiple initiatives and projects, you will drive a user-focused, data-informed content and social media creation approach for our key audiences: BUIDLERs (especially in EVM) and HODLERs.

This is a remote role open to candidates in North America and Western Europe. Two in-person team meetings per year are expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Write high-quality blog posts and opinion pieces, ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all touchpoints and for different target audiences

• Help produce rich multimedia content, including video, photography, and podcasts

• Strengthen brand messaging, thought leadership, and content output through a data-driven approach tailored to our target audiences

• Collaborate with the Marketing and Community team on demand-generation marketing campaigns through an SEO-led content strategy

• Support content internationalization by building on the existing focus in English-speaking countries

• Create opinion pieces that increase brand awareness, using internal and external resources as needed

• Support social media content creation

• Proactively support dApps in the Oasis ecosystem and the partner network

• Develop recurring content programs (e.g., webinar/podcast series, collaborations with KOLs, advertorials, and similar formats)

• Write opinion pieces for spokespeople across owned and earned channels

• Work with our PR freelancer to increase engagement with top-tier publications

• Write blog content that highlights Oasis’s privacy leadership in blockchain and covers key verticals such as DeFi, gaming, DAO governance, AI, and other technical areas—including Account Abstraction, TEE vs ZK, Intents, and more

• Partner with the Marketing and Community team to ensure Communications align with Growth, Events, Branding, and Community—leveraging data-informed learnings wherever possible

• Collaborate with Engineering, BD, and Operations to deliver relevant, consistent campaigns and user experiences

• Work with HR on Employer Branding initiatives

• Provide ongoing reports and insights to the Marketing team and the Oasis Foundation Board

Essential Skills and Attributes

• 4+ years of experience writing and editing for prominent publications

• 3+ years of experience creating content for blockchain/Web3 projects

• Excellent writing skills and strong command of spoken English

• Experience with data-driven content creation, including SEO-driven content marketing

• Practical, proactive, and detail-oriented

• Strong interest in crypto, blockchain, DeFi, privacy, and AI

• Process-minded and detail-oriented, while staying practical and service-oriented

• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with multiple stakeholders

• Maintain open lines of communication and collaborate effectively with teams and external providers

• Strong stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work effectively within a remote, distributed team

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ZK Proofs or other related privacy technologies

• Familiarity with a wide range of DeFi and gaming dApps

• Comfort using decentralized tools and software such as MetaMask, DEXs, etc.

Role Purpose

Identify and secure potential new partnerships and collaborations with projects that use Oasis privacy technology; manage relationships with onboarded partners; support integrations, co-marketing efforts, and other relevant cross-functional activities.

Community Team

• Community engagement: Build and maintain relationships with the Oasis Protocol community, including developers, users, and other stakeholders

• Community channel creation and management: Oversee channels such as social media, forums, and chat groups where community members interact and receive updates

• Provide support: Offer technical support to community members who build or use platform features

• Gather feedback: Collect community input to identify pain points and improvement opportunities

Marketing Team

• Platform promotion: Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the Oasis Protocol platform and its features

• Marketing content creation: Produce content such as blog posts, whitepapers, videos, and social media posts to educate potential users

• Partnership building: Work to establish partnerships with other projects, companies, or influencers to expand reach

• Event support: Support conferences, meetups, and hackathons to promote the platform and attract the community

This is a full-time, paid role compensated in USDT or USDC cryptocurrency.

The role can be located anywhere, with flexible remote work. Preference is given to candidates who can work in the CEST time zone.

$75,000 — $110,000 per year
