JOB TITLE: Director, Web Strategy & Optimization
REPORTS TO: Senior Director, Web Strategy and Governance

OBJECTIVE:
The Lead Associate of Web Strategy and Optimization will ensure our websites and digital experiences remain highly competitive by blending user experience insights, digital performance analysis, and optimization strategies. This position will deepen our understanding of user behavior, uncover friction points, and act on opportunities to improve engagement, conversions, and brand perception across our digital platforms. The role will drive the creation and execution of strategies that elevate website performance and user interaction. Success requires a seasoned leader with strong expertise in digital analytics, optimization, and UX, as well as the ability to influence cross‑functional teams and deliver measurable business results.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Direction & Leadership
• Develop and execute web optimization strategies that support company goals and improve customer experience.
• Act as a subject matter expert on digital best practices, emerging technologies, and optimization approaches.
• Lead and mentor digital team members, promoting innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability.

Performance Analysis & Optimization
• Use tools such as Google Analytics, FullStory, and PowerBI to identify friction and improvement opportunities.
• Define KPIs and build dashboards to track engagement, conversions, and overall digital performance.
• Turn analytical insights into actionable recommendations that enhance user experience and business outcomes.
• Oversee onsite search enhancements and content gap assessments to address changing user expectations.
• Drive A/B testing, personalization efforts, and SEO initiatives to maximize visibility and engagement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Marketing and IT to ensure smooth delivery of optimization initiatives.
• Influence partners across departments to prioritize digital optimization, support data-driven decision making, and adopt best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 10+ years leading digital strategy, UX, analytics, and optimization initiatives, including 8+ years in leadership.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate across diverse teams.
• Advanced expertise in digital analytics, SEO, UX research, and optimization tools.
• Strong communication and influence skills, with experience presenting to senior leaders.
• Preferred: 6+ years of experience in insurance and/or financial services.

Compensation: $95,000–$130,000 per year
Target compensation is $95k–$130k, with actual pay dependent on factors such as location, skills, and experience. This range represents one part of the full compensation package, which also includes annual incentive opportunities based on individual and company performance.
