Lume is one of the fastest-growing e-commerce companies in the country, and is changing the way people think about body odor. We need an experienced, self-starting developer to join our growing development team in building an improved e-commerce experience for our customers.

You’ll collaborate with our senior team (analysts, business, ads, customer service, & marketing) to build a website infrastructure that will include 3rd-party API integrations, headless commerce, Shopify API, etc. to push our website in fresh directions.

As a core member of a lean development team, your impact will be felt immediately. The development team has served a central role in the unprecedented success of Lume, and frequently releases features that have a direct impact on revenue.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Play a central role in the transition to headless commerce (Gatsby + React)
  • Take the leading role in building new features for our subscription program (currently using Recharge)
  • Delight our customers with fun and timely website features.
  • Dream up website improvement ideas (big and small), and lead the implementation of those ideas.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Extensive experience with React. Shopify experience is a plus!
  • Experience with asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with third-party APIs.
  • Experience with git, code workflow, & project management tools.
  • Demonstrated B2C website development experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead website feature builds.
  • Strong experience with web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Detailed knowledge & experience with mobile-first responsive design.
  • Knowledge and experience debugging and maintaining production level code and related workflows.

Salary and compensation

$100,000 — $140,000/year
