The successful candidate must have an insatiable desire to learn, explore and implement technology solutions for our clients while aligning with the agency’s core values: Be Curious, Be Thoughtful, and Be Brave. Areas of Competence and Understanding:

• Experience developing websites that use content management systems

• Understands the architecture and design of PHP-based websites

• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and an understanding of object oriented programming

• Ability to work within a collaborative team environment wearing multiple hats

• Desire to continuously learn new languages, platforms and skills

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience programming

• Has worked with PHP Frameworks (i.e. WordPress, SilverStripe, CakePHP, Laravel, Codelgniter, etc.)

• Strong communication skills (both in person and in writing)

• Has experience with modern front-end best practices

• Has some experience working with REST APIs using AJAX and JSON

• Has some experience with Agile Methodology

Icing on the Cake:

• Experience with Grunt, Gulp, MySQL, HTML5, SASS (and/or LESS), Nodejs, jQuery, and Adobe Creative Cloud

• Experience with Java web frameworks and APIs, JSP, and/or Java Content Repository

• Experience with Apache Sling

• Experience with SOAP APIs, including XML requests and XSLT for response handling

• Firm grasp on modern best practices for analytics, SEO, user experience and online marketing strategies

• Some knowledge of server-side technologies
