Overview of the Position

The Alliance is seeking a skilled Web Developer with broad experience in front end and back end development. This position will be responsible for defining, developing and deploying custom code to deliver high quality, high impact solutions. This position will work on the Alliance’s web products that include:

  • Alliance website: www.healthiergeneration.org/

  • Schools: schools.healthiergeneration.org/

  • Out-of-School Time: host.healthiergeneration.org/

  • Let’s Move! Active Schools: myactiveschool.letsmoveschools.org/

The Alliance’s custom code is built within Clockwork’s Active Media Manager, on LAMP stack with significant javascript. Data captured online syncs with Microsoft Dynamics CRM. In addition, there are three SSO integrations with third party sites.

The ideal candidate will be an expert developer, comfortable with complexity, detail-oriented, forward-thinking and passionate about children’s health and social change.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage, maintain and update complex custom code in order to increase maintainability, performance and scalability as well as meet our business needs

  • Manage integration of data points between the web systems and Microsoft Dynamics CRM

  • Lead development work for new web projects

  • Implement enhancements in web products and content management system

  • Troubleshoot and fix bugs in the system

  • Test new code deployments

  • Identify areas for improvement

  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and standards

  • Other duties as assigned to support both internal and external technology
