CourseWorld.org, a popular nonprofit online education website, is looking for a volunteer web designer/developer (or web development firm) to improve our website.
Beyond the intangible benefits, this pro-bono arrangement has the possibility of significant PR/marketing gains for your firm – aligning you with the online education revolution (VentureBeat called us the “Hulu for the Humanities”) and your commitment to social causes and social entrepreneurship. Learn more about CourseWorld at www.courseworld.org/about.
Launched in September 2013, CourseWorld.org is the web’s largest library of (30,000+) curated YouTube lectures in the arts and humanities. Unfortunately, as you’ll observe, it has a fairly “old-fashioned” look and feel. Fortunately, much of the hard initial work is done: the site functions well and its components have been carefully planned. But it still needs a considerable overhaul to modernize the appearance/UI and improve overall performance.
Our nonprofit initiative is fully volunteer-run with $0 budget (i.e., no salaries), funded by modest personal savings. We welcome the opportunity to discuss any pro-bono assistance you may be able to provide.
