Founded in 2015, Shield AI is a venture-backed deep-tech company dedicated to protecting service members and civilians through intelligent systems. Its products include the V-BAT and X-BAT aircraft, Hivemind Enterprise, and the Hivemind Vision product lines. With nine offices and facilities across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region, Shield AI’s technology supports missions around the world.

Our 2026 Summer Internship Program offers rising 2027 graduates the chance to immerse themselves in an innovative, mission-driven environment. This 10‑week paid program provides hands-on mentorship, meaningful project work, and the possibility of a full-time offer. Interns will build lasting friendships, grow their networks, and experience what it’s like to work at a fast-scaling tech company, while also enjoying company events and exploring a new city.

The intern will be responsible for designing and developing an updated company overview brochure that showcases Shield AI’s rapid growth and expanding product ecosystem. Over the course of ten weeks, they will work with the design and marketing teams to research, design, and produce a polished brochure suitable for both print and web, as well as for their personal portfolio.

Project objectives include creating a refreshed company overview brochure that highlights the company’s mission, growth, and product portfolio; learning professional design workflows, brand systems, and print production standards; and contributing to an asset that reflects Shield AI’s current scale. The project will also expand the design team’s capacity during a high-growth period and provide the intern with experience in visual communication, layout design, and cross-functional collaboration. Deliverables include a final print and digital brochure, a midpoint design review with revisions, and organized design files for future updates.

Required qualifications include proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop; strong skills in layout, typography, and visual hierarchy; attention to detail; and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred qualifications include experience preparing files for print and digital use, an interest in technology or aerospace, and basic familiarity with asset management systems.

Milestones include gathering content and developing initial design directions in weeks 1–2, refining concepts in weeks 3–5, presenting a midpoint review in week 6, applying revisions in weeks 7–8, and delivering the final brochure and files in weeks 9–10. Success will be measured by on-time completion, alignment with brand standards, accurate communication of Shield AI’s growth story, and final approval for internal and external use.

Compensation ranges from $26 to $46 per hour depending on degree level, with housing stipends provided. Full-time offers include salary, bonus, benefits, and equity, while temporary roles include pay and temporary benefits after 60 days. Final compensation depends on experience, skills, certifications, and location, and all offers require a cleared background check.

Shield AI is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to providing fair employment opportunities regardless of background or identity. Applicants requiring accommodation are encouraged to reach out.
