ABOUT US
At Vida, we help people improve their health — and we’re working to improve the healthcare system as well.

Vida is a virtual health clinic offering personalized, on-demand health coaching and programs delivered by a network of experienced healthcare professionals, including prescribers, registered dietitians, therapists, and health coaches, all through an easy-to-use app. We specialize in supporting people with chronic cardiometabolic conditions such as diabetes, obesity, and hypertension, along with helping them reach lifestyle goals like healthier eating, increased physical activity, weight loss, and stress reduction.

By combining advanced technology with high-quality healthcare providers, Vida is removing the obstacles that have traditionally limited access to excellent care. Fortune 1000 companies, major national payers, and large healthcare organizations trust Vida to help their teams live healthier lives.

Vida is authorized to operate in many, but not all, states. If you do not live in or cannot work from a state where Vida is registered, you will not be eligible for employment. Please speak with your recruiter for more information.

As a Vida Health Coach, you will work virtually with a diverse group of members to support meaningful, lasting behavior change that boosts their health and well‑being. You will follow Vida’s guidelines, Scope of Practice, HIPAA, PHI rules, and all relevant federal, state, and local laws to ensure safety, quality, and compliance. Vida Health Coaches are trained behavior‑change professionals with backgrounds in fields such as health sciences, nutrition, exercise, and motivational psychology. They help members tap into their internal motivation, identify obstacles, stay accountable, and grow — leading to sustainable life changes.

This is a part‑time role.

Responsibilities:
• Motivate, collaborate with, and support a group of members working to improve healthy lifestyle habits, including weight management, healthier eating, increased physical activity, stress management, and chronic condition prevention/management.
• Coach across all of Vida’s mind–body programs.
• Communicate with members through individual or group video calls and electronic messages according to program guidelines.
• Use coaching skills and Motivational Interviewing to help members set clear, SMART health goals.
• Record key information during video sessions using the appropriate tools.
• Work with other providers as needed to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
• Stay up to date on all required training and communications.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures outlined in provider manuals.
• Meet or exceed expectations for consult time management.
• Meet or exceed quality and efficiency benchmarks.

Expectations:
• Maintain availability that aligns with business needs: Monday–Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. in your time zone, and Saturday 8 a.m.–12 p.m.
• Accurately record hours worked using the appropriate ADP codes.
• Meet ongoing patient-exclusion screening requirements tied to licensure and certifications.
• Use Vida’s provider platform and technologies to maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and PHI protections.
• Follow all Vida policies and consents related to member services.

Qualifications:
• Degree in a health-related field (such as nutrition, public health, exercise physiology, psychology, health science, or health education).
• Health coaching certification from an accredited NBHWC‑approved program (e.g., Wellcoaches, Duke Integrative).
• At least 3 years of one‑on‑one coaching experience with health goals after earning an approved health coach certification.
• Successful completion of Vida’s Mock Motivational Interview session.
• Strong familiarity with technology such as GSuite, Slack, and basic software tools.
• CHES or NBC‑HWC certification preferred.
• Spanish fluency is a strong plus.

Compensation: $25–$35 per hour
