ABOUT THE TEAM

The Bestow TPA Services team is responsible for creating a best-in-class TPA function that delivers excellent service to our carrier partners’ customers and agents. We aim to use AI, automation, and digital tools whenever possible, while maintaining industry-leading NPS scores. We work closely with other Bestow teams to ensure our interactions meet partner expectations for both quality and the controls we put in place.

This role reports to Bestow’s Chief Insurance Officer and is available in Dallas, TX, or as a remote position (within the U.S.).

ABOUT THE ROLE

Bestow is hiring a Vice President – TPA Services to lead the following:

• Drive the strategic development of the next-generation TPA platform for all major life and annuity products
• Ensure TPA operations are efficient, scalable, and effective
• Assess and prioritize the tools teams need to succeed
• Partner with product teams to progressively automate processes
• Coordinate with Bestow teams and leadership to ensure alignment
• Co-create a roadmap with technology teams to support the TPA strategy
• Work with the Revenue team to support carrier partners
• Oversee the TPA Services team
• Evaluate staffing needs to support the strategy and collaborate with Finance as needed
• Ensure appropriate processes are defined and implemented
• Make sure TPA operations meet or exceed industry best practices and regulatory requirements

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of experience in the life insurance and/or annuity industry, including 3+ years in a senior TPA management or operations role
• Strong knowledge of TPA operations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
• Experience recruiting, developing, and retaining top talent
• Highly proficient in learning mainstream enterprise tools such as Google Apps, Zoom, Lucidchart, and online chat/communication platforms (and others as needed)
• Ability to perform well in an independent, remote-friendly work culture
• Values mentorship and learning, and likes being around people who are smarter and more knowledgeable
• Low ego, grounded in first principles, and focused on finding the right answers
• Interested in contributing your perspective and experience to a mission-driven organization in ways that help achieve goals
