DESCRIPTION

• Monj is seeking an experienced User Experience Designer to play a key leadership role in crafting the strategy and execution of Monj’s visual design, brand aesthetic, and user experience
• The ideal candidate is highly self-directed yet collaborative, with a holistic understanding of the creative process from interaction and UI through graphic design
• Contract would last 6-12 months with a possibility to stay on the team
• We’re flexible in terms of location- some time spent with the team in the SF Bay Area is necessary

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Share your perspective and insights throughout the entire product design cycle, including the ideation/planning, development, and post-deployment stages
• Create and document user flows, high fidelity wireframes, and interactive prototypes Incorporate both quantitative and qualitative user testing and analytics into decision making and iterations
• Clearly communicate with our engineering team to ensure your designs are developed accurately

QUALITIES & DESIRED EXPERIENCE Above all else, we care about the right attitude and aptitude. After that: 4+ years UX design experience working on innovative product teams Experience with in-context usability testing Proficiency in Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, Fireworks & Invision Excellent communication skills, especially with technical development teams Entrepreneurial spirit and a track record for beautiful, usable design work that delivers proven business value Extremely detail-oriented
