WorkWave is a rapidly growing leader in cloud-based mobile workforce software for the field service and transportation industries. We are seeking an accomplished UX Generalist to help transform the way our products look and feel and create excellent experiences for our users. This is a vital position on a great team in a rapidly growing company, so there are ample opportunities to grow both professionally and personally.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Solve design problems from start to finish. Work collaboratively in a cross-functional product team to design interactive experiences and modern web and mobile SaaS applications for our customers in field service businesses.
Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups (UI), and interactive prototypes.
Develop and maintain a design system, pattern library, and style guide
Serve as a gatekeeper of best practices and accessibility.
Conduct or participate in research: customer visits, interviews, focus groups, and feedback sessions.
Produce research-related deliverables: written specifications, personas, user flows, journey maps, and the like.
Work closely with Product Managers and engineers to define use cases, gather requirements, plan user stories, implement designs, iterate, and track changes.
Effectively communicate and discuss design and research with stakeholders.
Be an advocate for our users and an evangelist for user-centered and design thinking processes.
Collaborate with fellow UXers on larger company-wide design and education initiatives.
Actively research and stay abreast of UX topics and relevant technology trends.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

2+ years of experience designing business-oriented web applications, leveraging emerging technologies.
Experience designing for SaaS and knowledge of Google’s Material design system are plusses.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
A portfolio illustrating your UX work, including wireframes, visual design, flows, and related deliverables.
An unrelenting need to solve problems and validate your ideas.
The personal drive and proactive attitude required to self-manage design activities.
The proclivity to ask “who, what, when, where, why, and how?”
Demonstrable knowledge of human factors, research, best practices, and design-based processes (Agile development a plus).
Understanding of the product life cycle and the partnerships critical to success.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
The curiosity and drive to understand how things work, envision how they might work better, and then translate that vision into a compelling user experience.
Expert knowledge of industry-standard UX and collaboration tools such as: Figma, Jira, Confluence, and Adobe CCA strong understanding of the capabilities and limitations of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related technologies and the ability to speak the language.
