Position Summary
All of our staff is focused on User Experience, it’s what sets us apart, and our designers are no different. We are a multi-disciplinary team of product owners, designers, engineers, and testers. Your role would be to collaborate closely with the team to create innovative, usable, great-looking products. This person needs to be both an excellent hands on designer that can create exciting results, as well as be a visionary leader with full conviction to own the emotional dimension of the product and stand his or her ground, to ensure that the experience delivered is ultimately emotionally irresistible.
Key Activities
- Work closely with users, product management, engineers and other designers to define requirements, user workflows and UI mockups.
- Build wireframes and mockups.
- Create designs and workflows into an experience the user adopts.
- Create beautiful user interfaces that are a pleasure to use.
Required Skills
- Adept at designing attractive, exciting, meaningful products that foster deep emotional connections with your users.
- Ability to brainstorm with other team members and give and take constructive feedback.
- We prefer at least a bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Digital Media Design, Industrial Design, Fine Arts or related field, but we understand that sometimes experience is the best teacher.
- Having at least five years of experience is preferable.
- Expert with design techniques, such as, storyboarding, user research and wireframes required.
- Strong abilities in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Exceptional at defining UX foundations, communicating ideas, and guiding design and design research.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and a desire to stay ahead-of-the-curve by learning new emerging technologies.
- Requires an active security clearance and/or the ability to attain a clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in designing usable interfaces for multiple platforms.
Salary and compensation
$60,000 — $140,000/year
