Senior UX Designer
Job Description
At Convergence Health, it is the primary responsibility of the engineering team to design and build systems and applications that help our customers achieve their business goals. We are seeking an experienced, committed and enthusiastic professional to join our engineering department, as Senior UX Designer.
UX Design/User Experience Architecture
- Passionately advocate on behalf of our customer, maintaining the highest level of understanding of current user needs.
- Analyze user interface problems and create meaningful interaction design solutions that bridge user and business goals.
- Create and maintain high quality project requirements, user personas, user journey maps, user stories, use cases, flow charts, wireframes and prototypes.
- Maintain the highest level of understanding of current site use cases and functionality.
Discipline Expertise
- Possess advanced knowledge of user interface design patterns and standard user-centered design methodologies across multiple platforms (web, mobile, apps).
- Drive continuous process improvement of the user experience architecture/interaction design discipline to “best in class”.
Skills & Requirements
- 5-7 years’ previous professional design experience
- 5 years’ previous experience as an Information Architect, UX Designer or User Researcher
- 2–3 years’ previous experience conducting user research
- Bachelor’s degree, with advanced degree or study in design-related field
- Proven experience in improving user experiences online
- Expertise creating or managing the creation of information architecture deliverables (functional requirements, use cases, process flows, wireframes, heuristic evaluations)
- Passion for generative user research and innovation
- Demonstrated expertise in planning, conducting and presenting design research (qualitative, quantitative, generative, evaluative methods)
- Demonstrated experience defining business or functional requirements for website initiatives, or creating statements of work/proposals
- Experience designing on cross-functional teams (product management, visual design, technical development, content, QA)
- Expertise working with databases, content management and information systems
- Experience designing websites with Search Engine Optimization/Search Marketing initiatives
- Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and detail-oriented
- Good reading, written and verbal language skills (English)
Preferred location for this role is Reno, NV.
