We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented user experience designer with strong interests and capabilities in the design and development of engaging e-Commerce site experiences. Primary Responsibilities:
- Gather project requirements from key stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional design sessions, exploring the project strategy and mapping out potential user experience flows and designs.
- Diagram interactions using a variety of tools including site maps, flow charts, and storyboarding.
- Develop complete wireframe page diagrams and functional specs outlining UI goals with an emphasis on simplicity and ease-of use.
- Optimize designs through usability research and site analytics.
- Work closely with our creative team to translate wireframes into web creative designs and oversee the build of functionality by our engineering teams.
- Respond to UI demands as project requirements change.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree with an emphasis on Human-Computer Interaction, or similar.
- 2-3 years’ experience designing e-commerce and web applications.
- A demonstrable body of work that showcases your skills in UX design.
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
- Ability to work autonomously and under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment, while maintaining quality of deliverables.
- Track record as a team player who works effectively with a cross-functional team.
- E-Commerce experience in a corporate or consulting environment a plus
Technical Requirements:
- Experience designing in Omnigraffle, Axure or similar tools.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other web technologies and their inherent strengths and limitations as they relate to UX development.
- Mobile UI design experience is a plus.
- Prototype development experience is a plus.
