Job requirements

  • Snowflake Developer (Senior / Lead Data Engineer)

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum 8–12+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, and data platform implementations
    • Strong hands-on experience with legacy ETL tools:
      • Informatica / DataStage / SSIS
    • Proven experience working with:
      • Oracle / SQL Server and migrating to Snowflake
    • 3–5+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience (development, optimization, data loading)
    • Strong competency in modern data stack:
      • ELT frameworks (dbt preferred)
      • Data warehouse / Lakehouse architectures
    • Advanced expertise in SQL (complex queries, performance tuning, optimization)
    • Hands-on experience with:
      • Snowflake stored procedures, UDFs, Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe
    • Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and API integrations
    • Experience integrating Snowflake with:
      • External systems via APIs / scripting
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred):
      • S3, Lambda, and related services
    • Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)
    • Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and data quality frameworks
    • Experience working in enterprise-scale migration or transformation programs
    • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

    ADDED BONUS FOR:

    • Experience with real-time / streaming ingestion frameworks
    • Familiarity with CI/CD and DataOps practices
    • Exposure to BI and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
    • Understanding of data modeling techniques (Star schema, Data Vault)
    • Experience with performance tuning and cost optimization in Snowflake
    • Multi-cloud exposure ( AWS / Azure / GCP)
    • Relevant certifications:
      • Snowflake SnowPro
      • Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure)
$130,000 – $140,000 a year
